FIELD: mechanical engineering.

SUBSTANCE: method involves directed movement of fibre material under the action of air streams and distribution into zones, wherein internal air streams are generated in a distribution chamber, which are directed into the zone for formation of fibre layers with separation of the former into components, into a trash separator zone and a dust removal zone. The apparatus has a hopper, furnish rolls, feeding cylinders, a saw-toothed drum, a trash separating blade, a fixed combing segment and a distribution chamber having at the inlet a unit for forming fibre layers. On the side walls of the hopper there is a perforation with pneumatic suction device, and the distribution chamber has a section in form of a right-angled triangle, on one side of which on the wall of the chamber there is a perforation which is linked to a pneumatic suction device, and on the other side there is a unit for forming fibre layers, wherein in the bottom corner of the triangle of the chamber there is a trash separating unit.

EFFECT: invention increases uniformity of floor boards obtained from sorting the mixture, based on physical and mechanical properties, with reduction of their unevenness on the thickness.
