FIELD: engine manufacture, mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: invention is related to equipment testing air cleaners in the form of air filters for internal combustion engines. Gear includes standard and tested air filters, base plate with hole to install air filter and elements for its air-tight attachment over butt joints and instrument for comparative evaluation of degree of cleanness of air filters. Cylinder sleeve housing piston with piston rings of reduced weight which upper part has element engaging it and lifting upwards is installed in hole of base plate from below. Lower part of sleeve carries elastic support limiting movement of piston when it falls and switch fixing time of piston fall. EFFECT: simplified design, low cost and increased accuracy of comparative tests of air filters of internal combustion engines. 1 dwg
