FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves determining allergic response type (immediate, retarded) by applying morphometric examination of intestinal mucosa. Interepithelial eosinophiles and tissular villus macrophages numbers being detected in the amount of 0-1% for the former and 3-10% for the latter, retarded type of allergy is diagnosed. The first index being higher and the second one being lower then the values mentioned, immediate allergy is to be diagnosed. EFFECT: enhanced accuracy of diagnosis.
