FIELD: stitching and binding. SUBSTANCE: the device has one or several binding assemblies, each having an arc-shaped flexible holder introduced through holes of catching with the sheets to be bound, and a lock connected to the holder ends. The sheet holder has bosses (cavities) on its both ends; the holder and the lock are so made that at their connection the bosses of one of them are joined to the cavities of the other. The holder is flexible and has a sufficiently high elastic coefficient, which allows it at the instants of action of straining forces on it to take the shape allowing connection and disconnection of the holder and lock, and in the absence of forces-have the shape providing for sturdy engagement of the holder and lock connected to it. For creation of the necessary straining forces the device is furnished with an appliance in the form of a force conversion mechanism connected to the holder at the mentioned instants. The device has also a means of attachment of binding assemblies to the support, which is a component of an appliance for keeping the bound sheets. The means of attachment of each binding assembly to the support has an engageable connecting member connected to the binding assembly and a supporting member installed on the support; the above connecting and supporting members are detachable.
