FIELD: horticulture. SUBSTANCE: apparatus has worm rotavator provided with cutting teeth secured in inclined position to rotavator surface and arranged so as to form helical path. Rotavator is fixed on tine of adjustable length. Handles are attached on one end of tine and rectangular guiding frame is mounted on other end of tine transverse to it. Cylindrical roller is mounted within frame on shaft and bearings. Worm rotavator is fixed laterally of frame at adjustable distance from roller lower surface. Worm rotavator shaft is oriented in the direction of advancement of roller in horizontal position. Roller is made hollow, hermetically sealed and has opening provided with helical water filling plug which may be screwed into opening. Worm rotavator is made in the form of helical surface of increasing diameter. Cutting teeth of worm rotavator have different height and are oriented in different directions. Cutting teeth are arranged so as to define wavy surface. Scraper type knife secured to guiding frame is in contact with roller surface. Cutting teeth may be manufactured from flat metal strip formed as circular saw with teeth cut, sharpened and/or set at an angle to blade.
