FIELD: metallurgical and machine engineering plants, particularly manufacture of slit type cone sieves in hardware industry branch. SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of using wire with height-variable slit forming protrusion as shaped wire of slit type cone sieve. Height of protrusion increases from working side of profile to its opposite side in such a way that protrusion of each subsequent turn touches protrusion of preceding turn of shaped wire in one or more points. EFFECT: enhanced stability of wire winding process, increased efficiency of winding. 3 dwg
