FIELD: plastic metal working, specifically, rolling of bars. SUBSTANCE: invention can be used for cold rolling of high-precision periodic profiles of fine section, in particular, for manufacture of cold-rolled profiles with single-side period having same width along length which can be utilized in manufacture of slit grates. Fire bar profile is made from round wire and includes grating of certain thickness in the form of rectangle. Protrusions of definite form and size periodically repeated with certain spacing are made on one of its wide walls. Process of its manufacture includes preparation of surface of starting wire rod for drawing, its drawing and cold deformation to fire bar profile in closed four-roll gauge.
