FIELD: industrial organic synthesis. SUBSTANCE: method involving oxidation of carbohydrates, carbohydrate derivatives, or primary alcohols into monocarboxylic acids which are further isolated electroanalytically is distinguished by that starting materials are oxidized in aqueous solution with weight concentration from 0.1 to 60% with oxygen or oxygen- containing gas in presence of precious metal-based catalysts or mixed metal catalysts based on precious metals and prompters, stream of reaction products being continuously transferred into electroanalysis stage, after which monocarboxylic acids are isolated.
