FIELD: polymer production. SUBSTANCE: invention, in particular, relates to phosphorus-modified epoxy resins with epoxy number from 0.02 to 1 mole/100 g having general formula I: (I) where R2 is residue of polyepoxy compound devoid of glycidyl groups; n and m integers from 1 to 5 each, their sum ranging from 2 to 6; B is residue of phosphinic and/or phosphonic acid anhydride depicted by formulas II-VIII: (II-VIII) wherein R, R1 and R3, independently, are C1-C20-hydrocarbon radicals, preferably C1-C6-hydrocarbon radicals; A is bivalent C1-C10- hydrocarbon radical; y integer equal to at least 1, preferably 1-100; and z integer equal to at least 3, preferably 3-100. Resin production process as well as molded products, coatings, laminates manufactured from compounds I are described.
