METHOD OF MOLDING ARTICLES FROM FIBROUS SUSPENSION AND MACHINE FOR ITS EMBODIMENT Russian patent published in 1999 - IPC

FIELD: industrial production of articles from fibrous suspensions. SUBSTANCE: method includes precipitation of fibers on latticed female die under the effect of pressure differential across precipitated layer formed by hot compressed air acting on suspension and drying of precipitated layer with this air. In the course of drying fiber precipitated layer, it is premolded with heating by means of latticed male die heated by passing hot compressed air. In so doing, rarefaction is created under fiber layer. The machine for embodiment of the method has closed working chamber with molding table and latticed female die mounted therein; closed water-receiving bottom plate and molding box with latticed male die movably installed in working chamber and connected with drive of vertical motion. Working chamber has removable tight cover fixed by quick-acting clamping devices and engageable during opening with molding box. Molding box is connected with drive by tubular columns passing through sealed holes in cover and communicating the molding box hollow with sources of compressed air and rarefaction. Electric heaters of air may be installed inside tubular columns. EFFECT: production of relatively thick-walled and large-sized bulk articles with high productivity and reduced power consumption. 4 cl, 1 dwg
