FIELD: mining. SUBSTANCE: method includes opening of degassed sections of coal seams with the help of holes, artificial fracturing by washing out of coal seam, formation of local hollows and caving of part of coal mass into worked-out space. To preserve filtering channels, partial filling of hollow with filtering material is performed. Holes are spaced to fully cover the zones of fracturing. Coal seam is washed out along its strike but with exclusion of extension of fracturing zone to overlaying rocks having collecting communication with atmosphere. EFFECT: higher efficiency of degassing of coal seams due to intensification of gas recovery from rock massif and increased volume of gas mined from coal deposits. 2 cl
