FIELD: mining industry. SUBSTANCE: method includes driving in gas-bearing bed of workings which outline a pillar; determination of distances between vertical holes; drilling of hole to cross the bed; determination of hole inclination and direction; casing of the hole with perforated pipes; sealing of hole and heat insulation; advancing the face; connection of hole to gas suction device for changing vacuum; installation of additional geophysical marks along the length of outlining workings; measurement of the degree of disturbance of rock mass of radio-wave sounding; determination of presence and quality of zones of natural intensive jointing within the pillar, and, if any, measured are pillar length, zones width, distance to workings; measurement of angles of orientation of zones in space with the help of radio-wave sounding; plotting of obtained information on mining work schedule; location of the next adjacent hole in intensive jointing zone; degassing worked-out space; measurement of gas content in workings; determination of relative coefficient of degassing efficiency. Changing vacuum and distances between holes are maintained at the level required for provision of safety mining operations.
