FIELD: agriculture, in particular, equipment for protecting plants, may be used in entomological researches. SUBSTANCE: apparatus has cassettes, set of sieves inserted into cassettes which are joined through threaded connections to define hermetically sealed block of sieves, which may be attached by threaded connection to bottom of container charged with plant material. Water collecting chamber is attached from the bottom to block of sieves and is connected via hose to vacuum pump. Hose is provided with cock. Plant material mixing members are mounted in container and connected to electric drive. Apparatus is mounted on support fixed on stand and may be connected to domestic power supply unit. Container with plant material is filled with washing solution and mixing members are started for rotation. In the process of rotation of mixing members and under the action of high-power flow of washing solution, arthropods are withdrawn from below bud shells and galls. Flowing of washing solution through sieves is intensified by sucking air from block of sieves and water collecting chamber. EFFECT: reduced labor and time consumption for counting arthropods in sample, increased precision in counting anthropods and improved separating capacity of apparatus. 4 cl, 3 dwg, 1 tbl
