FIELD: preparation of hot drinks by brewing or extraction of some food product of coffee type. SUBSTANCE: automatic device incorporates system formed by body and boiler arranged in opposition to it. Body and boiler are meant to be brought together and to form brewing chamber in this manner. Device also includes container that takes portion of food product in individual package subject to brewing, aids intended for temporary holding of this individual package in immobile state in space between body and boiler and aids keeping package in specified position all being placed in zone of brewing chamber. Package can freely slide and be held in vertical position when container is open. There is also provided aid for automatic throwing away of used package under action of its own weight.
