FIELD: orthopedic surgery. SUBSTANCE: device has oblong bearing frame consisting of two titanium nickelide rods bent to follow form of vertebral column and coupled to each other loosely at each end and in intermediate sections. Prior to installation, frame is cooled and bent to fit contour of pathologically deformed vertebral column. Then it is installed into prepared bed and secured to vertebral column by means of C-shaped clamps and lengths of wire spiral made of material with memory of form. When rods are warmed up, they return to their initial form and render correcting effect on deformed vertebral column. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency of correction. 6 cl, 5 dwg
