FIELD: veterinary microbiology. SUBSTANCE: strain Brucella abortus N KB 17/100 has no surface antigens A and M which are typical for Brucella in S-form. Strain shows low residual virulence, stable properties during culturing on nutrient media and therefore enhances specificity and activity of diagnostic and prophylactic preparations against brucellosis in animals. Strain Brucella abortus is deposited in Collection of microorganisms VGNKI of veterinary preparations at registration N KB 17/100. Diagnostic antigen prepared from the strain B. abortus VGNKI N KB 17/100 is the highly specific and active biopreparation and prepared vaccine shows the enhanced immunogenic activity.
