FIELD: veterinary science, microbiology. SUBSTANCE: new strain of Brucella abortus is able to reproduce stably in nutrient media containing growth inhibitor of brucella of vaccine strains and foreign microflora. Bis-triphenylanhydrocarbinol oxalate at concentration 0.001% is used as growth inhibitor. Strain does not show pathogenicity for animals and humans. Strain Brucella abortus is deposited in microorganism collection of VGNKI at N KB 13/100 DEP. Immunogenic activity of antibrucellosis vaccine is determined by the rate of elimination of brucella of control strain B. abortus VGNKI N KB 13/100 DEP from immunized animals body. Laboratory animals (mice, guinea pigs) are immunized with antibrucellosis vaccine followed by administration of culture of control strain B. abortus VGNKI N KB 13/100 and animals are killed. Then bacteriological studies of lymph nodes and viscera are carried out. For this purpose pathologic material is sown in nutrient media containing bis-triphenylanhydrocarbinol oxalate at concentration 0.01%. Animals are considered to be immune if brucella of control strain are eliminated from their body completely for definite period. Use of control vaccine strain Brucella abortus N KB 13/100 ensures to safe the control of biopreparations efficiency, increase numbers of series to be tested, enhance vaccine quality significantly and enhance effectiveness of specific prophylaxis of brucellosis significantly.
