FIELD: repair of internal combustion engines. SUBSTANCE: process is meant for surface hardening of parts with the use of metal shots. Powder additive is added into lubricating and cooling fluid. Ultrasonic vibration are superimposed on jet of lubricating and cooling fluid. Machining is carried out with the aid of plant with special bubbler to mix lubricating and cooling fluid with powder additive. This plant is equipped with cavitation- ultrasonic mixer. Process provides for high quality of machined surface thanks to use of combined machining, enhances its wear resistance and ensures softer sliding of piston over surface of cylinder. EFFECT: high quality of machined surfaces, enhanced wear resistance and softer sliding of piston over surface of cylinder. 5 cl, 1 dwg
