FIELD: electrical engineering, in particular, for petroleum mining equipment. SUBSTANCE: device has electric motor, mechanical converter of rotation to reciprocal movement with counter weight and station for electric drive control. Converter has two rope driving pulleys. Rotation member of converter is connected to shaft of electric motor. Linear movement member is connected to plunger of actuating mechanism through first rope and first rope-driving pulley, and to counter weight through second rope and second rope-driving pulley. Input of feedback circuit of current regulator is connected to output of current detector. Input of feedback circuit of rotation frequency regulator is connected to output of rotation detector. Output of position detector is connected to input of frequency detector and input of feedback circuit of position detector, which setting input is connected to unit which sets trajectory. When electric drive and actuating mechanism 11, for example, sucker-rod pump are used, maximal rate is controlled by corresponding correction of A and W parameters, as well by alternation of weight of counter weight.
