FIELD: animal farming. SUBSTANCE: calf feeding apparatus has feed vessel, charging and discharge pipes, discharge reservoir with pump, metering vessel with nipple and metering branch pipe, and washing unit. Metering pipe is positioned in vessel so that its free end is movable relative to vessel bottom. Other end of metering branch pipe is connected through flexible hose to discharge pipe and metering vessel is connected with charging pipe via charging branch pipe. Washing unit has double-walled funnel provided with nipple cavity and cavity between walls, which are communicated one with another via radial openings. During feed metering, metering unit is moved to "metering" position. Upon termination of calf feeding, metering unit is moved to "washing" position. EFFECT: increased efficiency by improved nipple washing and enhanced reliability in operation. 3 cl, 10 dwg
