SCRAPER-TYPE ELEVATOR FOR GRAIN COMBINE Russian patent published in 1999 - IPC

FIELD: agricultural engineering. SUBSTANCE: elevator has rectangular trough divided into two cavities by partition wall extending along trough. Lower and upper elevator heads are fixed to trough ends. Upper head has discharge opening in its bottom. Lower head has bearing on which feeding auger rotates. Feeding auger is positioned in housing and connected with lower head through mouth. Drive sprocket is fixed on feeding auger shaft. Width of drive sprocket is equal to thickness of disk, i.e. 0.25-0.30 of tooth width. Tensioner sprocket of the same construction as drive sprocket is mounted in upper head on spindle rotating in bearings. Endless pulling chain is stretched on both sprockets. Scrapers are attached in symmetry to chain link lugs at acute angle α to chain axial longitudinal line. Elevator may be used in any reprocessing machine. Such construction allows grain crushing by crushing mechanism having chain link-sprocket tooth pair in grain charging zone to be eliminated. EFFECT: wider operational capabilities, increased efficiency by reduced grain crushing and provision for elimination of grain falling and spilling through scrapers. 4 dwg
