SEPARATOR FOR LOOSE MATERIALS Russian patent published in 1999 - IPC

FIELD: loose material separation, possibly in agriculture for separating hard-to-separate seed materials. SUBSTANCE: separator includes metering hopper, receivers for separated products, device for separating material particles according to their roundness. Device has two splitters arranged one under another and under metering hopper. Splitters are in the form of hollow truncated cones whose small bases are turned upwards. Diameter of small base of splitter arranged in high level is more than diameter of small base of splitter arranged in low level. Splitters are mounted with possibility of vertical motion; their upper edges are coated with rubber. Separator increases yielding of high quality seeds by 10-15% due to elimination of influence of elastic properties of material particles upon process of separating particles according to roundness.
