FIELD: railway transport. SUBSTANCE: boxcar has frame and end face walls rigidly secured on frame. Side walls and roof are hinge-mounted on end face walls by means of leverages making it possible to move side walls aside forming fixed clearance near frame, and roof can be hinged down to one side. To carry bulky loads, side walls are made trough-shaped. In this case, body, when loaded in, will lie within preset side off-gauge limits and when empty, owing to turning through approximately 180 degrees and arrangement of side walls inside body (by means of leverages), body will lie within standard gauge limits. EFFECT: widening of nomenclature of carried loads with provision of top loading by means of crane; provision of passage for attending personnel between side walls and frame in process of loading. 4 dwg
