FIELD: railway transport; permanent way. SUBSTANCE: rail fastening has rail chair with rims for rail foot between rims, pressure clamps for fixing rail foot on chair, and fasteners with flexible inserts for holding chair on base. Fasteners consist of gasket anchored in base. Chair has L-shaped projection in cross section at each side of rail arranged along rail and upward projections arranged across rail. Upper section of each L-shaped projection is located over rail chair, and recess for fixing flexible insert is made on its inner side. Inert is installed between L-shaped projection and rail chair for engagement. Flexible insert is made multiple-layer, with upper rubber-cord layer, preferably.
