FIELD: transport engineering. SUBSTANCE: method is based on displacement of each body of multiple-body vehicle (1-3 body vehicle) in direction of movement by rolling over support surface in longitudinal vertical plane, with bodies displaced in turn in parallel vertical planes so that side surfaces of adjacent bodies are pointed to each other. Multiple-body vehicle has several bodies, each provided with support surfaces enclosing the body, body joining traction mechanisms and control system. One of sides of each body is pointed to adjacent side of one of other bodies. Joining traction mechanisms are made in form of cranks whose ends connected with output shafts of adjacent body traction drives. Profile of support surface of each body is made in form of sections of straight lines conjugated by curvilinear arcs, with crank axis of rotation located in center of curvature of one of arcs. Output shafts of traction drives of each body located between extreme bodies are made coaxial. EFFECT: increased cross-country capability of remote controlled vehicles. 7 cl, 6 dwg
