SHEET PUSHING UNIT Russian patent published in 1999 - IPC

FIELD: paper industry; handling of sheet materials. SUBSTANCE: pushing unit is designed for pushing first sheet from sheet pile. It has pushing device connected to drive mechanism setting device in reciprocating motion. Control mechanism acts onto pushing device setting it in operating position in which device grips periodically first sheet from sheet pile and shifts it in output direction. Control mechanism can be furnished with device for controlled activation of drive mechanism of pushing device, thanks to which device do not execute reciprocating motion when there is no necessity of delivery of sheet or ground of sheets. Usually, pushing device has part of sheet handling unit which is furnished additionally with sheet holding device to hold first sheet in sheet pile. Holding device can be provided with special device for controlled supply of vacuum to first sheet in sheet pipe. EFFECT: enhanced reliability of sheet pushing device owing to the fact that control device can stop pushing unit in case of failure of device providing sheet-by-sheet delivery of paper. 14 cl, 8 dwt
