FIELD: methods for production of structures by the variable optical effect. SUBSTANCE: the method for forming the structure in the form of a diffraction grating or hologram on the substrate has the following stages: (a) provision of adhesive on the substrate; (b) application of metal powder on the adhesive by precipitation; (c) relief stamping of the structure producing the variable optic effect on the metal powder. The substrate carries a structure in the form of a diffraction grating or hologram producing the variable optic effect, reliefly stamped in metal powder. The document protected against forgeries includes a substrate. The method excludes the use of flame or plasma spraying and, respectively, the high- temperature treatment.
