FIELD: treatment of solid, liquid, and gaseous organic wastes. SUBSTANCE: method involves decomposition of organic wastes by heat without air admission and in presence of limestone followed by condensation of products of hydrolysis process; calcium carbide synthesis and hydrolysis are performed simultaneously, in common reactor, and in a single process at not lower than 1600 C and a gage pressure of not over 0.01 MPa; in the course of these procedures, calcium carbide is activated by splashing it; heat energy picked off reactor vessel is conveyed to heat users. Method is implemented by means of reactor plant that has vessel incorporating admission bin with sealed-joint cover and gate valve, injectors, measuring instruments, unloading device; mounted inside reactor are activator and heat-exchange apparatuses with steam generator. Heat source is built up of electrodes and their feeder. Plant is also equipped with safety valve and manual electrode feeding mechanism.
