FIELD: fire-extinguishing equipment. SUBSTANCE: gas fire-extinguishing engine has heater formed as "cryogenic liquid-ambient air" heat-exchanger with heat-exchanging surface sufficient for evaporating liquid nitrogen at rate lower than cryogenic liquid flow rate required for fire extinguishing. Heater is positioned under isothermal vessel. Heat exchanger inlet end is communicated with liquid phase of cryogenic substance, outlet end is communicated via valves with gaseous phase and mid portion is communicated with liquid phase of cryogenic substance at height sufficient for supplying liquid into heat-exchanger. Branch pipe for supplying fire-extinguishing substance, such as overheated cryogenic liquid, is formed as nozzle with folding-back expansion device. Gas phase of cryogenic liquid in isothermal vessel is communicated with cryogenic liquid vapor condenser. Usage of overheated cryogenic liquid as fire-extinguishing substance allows lifting capacity factor of fire-extinguishing engine to be increased. EFFECT: increased efficiency and enhanced reliability in operation. 3 cl, 1 dwg
