FIELD: electroplating, specifically, production of nickel coats with low contact resistance used in radio electronics, computer engineering and communication equipment. SUBSTANCE: proposed electrolyte to produce nickel coats has components in the following proportion, mole per liter: nickel sulfate 0.5-1.0; nickel chloride 0.06-0.11; tartaric acid 0.03-0.35 and ethylene glycol 0.03-0.1. EFFECT: reduced contact resistance under low compressing loads, expanded range of operating currents, increased factor of solderability, decreased potential difference between electrodes and provision for stability of process.
