FIELD: thermal power stations. SUBSTANCE: heat- transfer apparatus 10 has working-gas loop 12 wherein gas producing its working heat is heated up in first heat exchanger to high temperature to make it capable of performing work and coolant loop 14 with second heat exchanger wherein working gas is cooled down upon completion of work. Mentioned first and second heat exchangers are, essentially, zeolite base heat storages 16, 18 whereto working gas is alternately supplied from working gas cylinder 11 or wherefrom it is discharged in response to commands from controller 67; zeolite base heat storages 16, 18 are actuated by controller 67 so that they can exchange heat with coolant loop 14. As distinct from standard Stirling engines which do not actually generate heat that could be considered as waste heat, here heat is transferred to coolant in the course of working gas adsorption in one of zeolite base heat storages and this heat transferred to heat exchanger is recovered again in the course of working gas desorption from zeolite in other heat storage. EFFECT: improved heat balance of power station due to heat recovery in heat storage. 4 cl, 2 dwg
