FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves examining patient fundus oculi blood vessels on retinal chamber before and after taking nitrates (at the moment of maximum preparation activity). Then, central retinal veins branch diameters are simultaneously automatically measured in identical places. Increase in venulae diameters being greater than 10% of initial value is considered to give evidence concerning effectiveness of the preparation. Reduced degree of venulae dilation diameter in repeated examination in course of treatment with nitrogen preparations, is considered to witness development of tolerance to them. EFFECT: enhanced sensitivity of the method; accelerated treatment course.
