FIELD: chemical engineering. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to separating liquids with different boiling temperatures, in particular, lower-boiling and higher-boiling fractions. Mixture is separated on heat- and mass- exchange surface into pure lower-boiling fraction, which is drawn off from upper, concentration section of column, and mixture of lower- and higher-boiling fractions, from which lower-boiling fraction is separated by additionally supplying heat carrier followed by drawing off pure higher-boiling fraction from lower, exhausting section of column. Additional supply and/or rejection of heat is accomplished through continuously rectifying heat carrier on back side of heat-mass- exchange surface in withdrawal-less mode or with heat carrier fractions' withdrawal. Heat carrier is an additional multicomponent mixture with boiling temperature lying between those of pure lower- boiling fraction of mixture being separated and pure lower-boiling heat carrier fraction.
