FIELD: heat-power engineering; cooling of water in circulating water supply systems. SUBSTANCE: cooling tower sprinkler sheet has projections on both sides which are made in form of truncated cones with curvilinear generatrix. Adjacent projections are engageable by arc corresponding to curvature of generatrix. Lines connecting the vertices of projections on each side of sheet are inclined towards lower edge of sheet at an angle of 30 to 90 deg. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency of heat-and-mass exchange due to reduction of resistance to passage of air through sprinkler. 3 dwg
