FIELD: thermal engineering; contact-type apparatuses for water cooling in circulating water supply systems of industrial enterprises. SUBSTANCE: sprinkler has plates installed in vertical rows; each plate is provided with ridges arranged in staggered manner on either of its sides and made in the form of hollow truncated cones whose longitudinal axes are horizontal and orthogonal to plate surface; large base of each ridge is in same plane as plate. Adjacent plates with ridges are installed in a relative spaced relation; longitudinal axes of hollow truncated cones whose small bases are unidirectional relative to plate surface are aligned to form zigzag-shaped channels in horizontal and vertical section between plates. Additional ridges are newly introduced and arranged on external surface of truncated cone at least on one side of plate along generating surface of truncated cone. EFFECT: improved augmentation of heat transfer and reduced size of heat-transfer apparatus. 17 cl, 7 dwg
