FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves measuring chemoluminescence activity of sample from specimen under examination. Peroxidase-active substances being detected in the sample by means of reference calibration curve obtained earlier by examining samples with known quantities of hemoglobin. When needed, the sample of specimen under examination is treated with sorbent agent showing selectivity with respect to hemoglobin and vegetable peroxidase. It is separated from the sorbent by washing with water. Water washing off sample chemoluminescence activity is measured. No chemoluminescence being observed, hemoglobin contents is to be evaluated. Chemoluminescence activity taking place in hydrogen oxidation by peroxide under peroxidase-active substances being present of luminol in aqueous solution of sodium hydroxide containing ethylene diaminotetracetic acid or its sodium salt. DEAE Sephadex A-50 or Sephadex G-50-medium are applied as the sorbent sensitive to hemoglobin and vegetable peroxidase. EFFECT: enhanced accuracy of the method. 3 cl, 3 dwg
