FIELD: purification of diamonds resulting from detonation wave. SUBSTANCE: diamond-containing blend suspension is introduced into high-pressure apparatus. Solid phase content is 5 wt %. Potassium nitrate is added, and apparatus is sealed. The whole is heated to 320-400 C, maintained for 30 in, cooled, washed, and dried. Content of impurities in treated diamond does not exceed 1 wt %. EFFECT: more efficient purification method.
