BARBED BAND Russian patent published in 1999 - IPC

FIELD: barrier equipment. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to configuration of spikes in barbed band used for guarding some objects. Barbed band has central section and trapezoidal spikes stamped out on external sides of central section. Trapezoidal spikes have paired main peaks and additional peaks turned in opposite directions along axis of band. Additional peaks are cut out in body of main peaks at base of spike. Made against each trapezoidal spike on opposite side of central section is triangular spike having its point directed perpendicularly from central section to height which is equal to height of trapezoidal spike or exceeding it. Trapezoidal spikes and triangular spikes are arranged on band asymmetrically and in staggered order relative to each other. Aforesaid embodiment of barbed band ensures better piercing, cutting and catching characteristics. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 2 dwg
