FIELD: metallurgy, in particular, rolling of asymmetrical section of intermediate terminal or other channel-type sections having flanges of different length. SUBSTANCE: method involves rolling workpieces in oval diamond intermediate pass asymmetrical with respect to horizontal axis, in intermediate diamond leader pass having sides of various size, and in finishing pass. Diamond asymmetrical pass has different vertical axle shafts and split pass sides. Diamond pass with sides of different sizes has horizontal main shaft and split pass sides. Workpiece to be rolled is fed into pass with sides of different sizes upon turning through 90 deg. Method further involves orienting workpiece with its main vertical axle shaft in horizontal plane toward pass large faces; prior to feeding into leader pass, turning workpiece onto lower side. Leader and finishing passes have vertical flanges. EFFECT: increased efficiency and improved quality of rolled products. 6 dwg
