FIELD: rolled stock production, namely profiling rolls of sheet rolling mills with use of mathematical models. SUBSTANCE: at controlling roll profile a row of new technological factors are taken into account and they are introduced to mathematical model. Additional mathematical model for calculating machine-tool profiling of rolls in all stands of mill is formed simultaneously. Said model uses predicted values of rolling efforts, measured values of cross thickness difference and temperature of rolled piece, roll surface roughness values, thermophysical parameters of cooling agent. Calculated ground bulged portions are determined at preset flowrate of emulsion in system of roll section cooling. Necessary values of bulged portions are selected depending upon predicted and real flowrates of emulsion in system of roll cooling: at first at 50-60% of predicted maximum flowrate, then - by varying it in range of 40-80% of predicted maximum flowrate. At rolling roll are changed when real values of emulsion flowrates are out of range consisting 30-80% of maximum flowrate. EFFECT: enhanced planeness of rolled strip. 2 cl
