FIELD: waste water treatment. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to reagent treatment of industrial sewages followed by recovery of aluminum-containing coagulant from oil-hydroxide-containing sludge. The latter operation is effected by treatment with acidic aluminum- containing waste solution obtained from water decomposition of catalyst complex used in industrial Friedel-Crafts-Gustavson process characterized by pH 0.6-1.0 and contents of free hydrochloric acid 0.94-2.20 wt.pts, aluminum chloride 0.79-1.86 wt.pts, and alkylaromatic hydrocarbons 200-500 mg/cu.dm.
