METHOD OF CLEANING FILTER ELEMENT PORES Russian patent published in 2003 - IPC

Abstract RU 2217234 C2

FIELD: oil, petrochemical and gas industries. SUBSTANCE: proposed method includes dipping contaminated filter element in trichloroethylene and keeping it in this compound for 4-72 h at temperature of 18-22 C. Extract is drained and remaining solvent is removed by nitrogen blowing. Filter elements are washed with hot water at temperature of 70 C and higher. Remaining moisture is removed by blowing with air. Nitrogen, hot water and air are delivered in counter-flow relative to filter medium at pressure not higher than1-2 kgf/sq cm till complete removal of remaining trichloroethylene, mechanical admixtures and moisture. Used trichloroethylene is subjected to distillation and is returned to process. Proposed method makes it possible to repeatedly use filter elements. EFFECT: avoidance of toxic runoff. 4 cl, 1 dwg, 1 tbl
