FIELD: optical location. SUBSTANCE: invention presents process of detection and identification of targets with usage of television methods of signal processing. It can be used for design of emergency alarm systems. Process is based on probing of controlled space with scanned pulse laser radiation, on reception of optical signals of image from preset range, on conversion of received signals of image to video signal, on threshold selection, on probing of space with frequency equal to fl/n and on coding of radiated sequence with frequency ff/m,, where fl, ff are correspondingly frequencies of lines and frames of used TV method of signal conversion, n and m are natural numbers satisfying condition n n ≤ fl/ff, 2 ≤ m ≤ ff/2/2, on detection of alarm signal and on fixing of scintillation of brightness of TV screen with frequency of amplitude manipulation after conversion of video signal to optical image.
