FIELD: machine engineering, namely methods for making parts of mechanisms of interaxle and wheel differentials of transport vehicles. SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of forming part in the form of boss with branched portions, subsequently working it. Boss blank is made of thick-wall tube in which through openings and flats arranged on outer surface normal relative to axes of said openings are made. Blanks of branched portions are made by cutting rods and forming portions with less cross section in one end of each branched portion. Formation of part in the form of boss with branched portions is realized by pressing-in parts of blanks of branched portions with less cross section into respective openings of boss blank.
