REUSABLE PLASTIC CAP SHOWING UP ITS OPENING Russian patent published in 1999 - IPC

FIELD: mechanical engineering; stopping of plastic and other bottles. SUBSTANCE: proposed cap has threaded ring flange for turning onto bottle neck. Pourout spout with outer bead is made on top of flange. Pourout spout is covered by cowl with hole in top stopped by plug. Plug is made in top of pourout spout with clearance relative to spout. Both ring flange and cowl are provided with rings showing that cap has been opened. Opening indicating ring is caught by bead of pourout spout. Such design of reusable cap provides double indication of opening. Ring flange has segmented sections of thread levelled up in vertical. Opening indicating ring on flange is provided with projection arranged to ensure relative overlapping of thread and projections and, consequently, best sealing of flange. Raised sections decreasing distance from ring to flange are made between fragile members coupling indicating ring and flange. This design peculiarity precludes breaking of fragile members when fitting cap onto bottle. EFFECT: enhanced stopping of bottles. 9 cl, 7 dwg
