FIELD: mechanical engineering, lubrication systems of internal combustion engines, aggregates, transmission units and running gears of various machines. SUBSTANCE: process includes injection of additional portion of additive from external device. Temperature generated by friction unit which value depends on its change in interval of 70-150 C is used as evaluation parameter to implement intensive dosed injection of additive or package of additives. Rate of feed of additive is provided by force of gravity or by excessive pressure that is regulated from 0.1 to 50.0 cu.cm/min by change of free cross-sectional area of outflow hole. Description gives design of gear for implementation of process. Additional injection of antifriction and counter-wear additive into lubricating material at moment of transfer from normal friction mode to extreme one permits intensity of wear-out of friction pairs to be reduced, probability of occurrence of failure to be diminished and service life of mechanism as whole to be enlarged.
