FIELD: blasting operations, applicable in charging of flooded holes at open pit minings. SUBSTANCE: for charging of flooded holes use is made of ammonium nitrate and trinitrotoluene in relation from 82/18 to 30/70 per unit of charge length; ammonium nitrate is preliminarily placed in water-proof shells and dipped in the hole with formation of a gap between the shells and hole walls, then the above gap is filled with trinitrotoluene. If water column is available in the hole, water is added to ammonium nitrate in the shell, which increases the density of ammonium nitrate and decreases the charging time. The advantages of the method are replacement of expansive trinitrotoluene with cheap ammonium carbon monoxide in the products of blast, higher safety in work with the explosive charge components due to separation and use of oxidizer as one of them (ammonium nitrate, etc.), as well as considerable simplification of preparation of charge components to hole charging, process of charging proper and formation of charge in the hole without affecting the results of the burst due to a contact of trinitrotoluene with ammonium nitrate and its solution, thus favoring a more complete decomposition.
