FIELD: hydrometallurgy of noble metals, particularly, methods of recovery of gold, silver and metals of platinum group from solutions by sorption. SUBSTANCE: method consists in use of sorbent in the form of novel polymer thio ether, polydithiopropane synthesized on the basis of trichloropropane by reaction with inorganic sulfide. Sorbent has high sorption capacity with respect to gold and metals of platinum group which is equal to 0.2-1.0 g of recovered metal per gram of sorbent. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 1 tbl
