FIELD: mining industry. SUBSTANCE: metal support for development workings made of special profile stock or combination support with upper beam made of special profile stock or other type of rolled stock includes upper beam, post, guarding between upper beams, and members for connection of upper beams. Rectilinear upper beam of support which is made up of two parts connected together by yokes rests by its one end on post at side of working, and by its other end it rests on mass of rock matter comprising development working of other side of working. Second short part of upper beam is seated in bore-hole specially drilled in this rock mass. It is incorporated in support system by means of members for connection of upper beams and rock mass. Application of aforesaid embodiment of support allows for reducing amount of material needed for manufacture of support per unit length of development working. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 5 dwg
