FIELD: examination and analysis of materials. SUBSTANCE: device has body with punch and supporting plate positioned coaxially in it and two posts. Two straight recesses are made in each post in parallel to each other and at angle to post axis. Upper and lower stops of rectangular cross-section with at least one hole perpendicular to stop axis are installed with slide fit between the recesses. At least one pin which vacant ends are placed in corresponding recesses of posts is positioned in stop hole. Incisions are made on stop end faces contacting the specimen in parallel with axis of stop hole. End faces contacting the punch and supporting plate are made smooth.
